Real Housewives...TURTLE TIME!

Ok, I realize it's taken me almost a week to comment on last Thursday's episode of Real Housewives of New York City, but honestly its taken me just about this long to figure out what exactly happened and to gather my bearings .... I mean talk about fantastic television!

Here we go ...

WHO told Countess LuAnn that releasing a single was a good idea? Clearly someone who is deaf ... and I mean NO offense to the hearing impaired, I'm offended that I CAN hear and was susceptible to that junk last week! Really, LuAnn? Fire that creepy producer Chris Young now, he is not doing you any favors at all! I'm embarrassed for your children.

And just because as a young girl you sang to the mirror using a hair brush as a microphone, so did I, I STILL sing to the high heavens in my car ALONE, but that doesn't mean I should be heading into the recording studio, and neither should you!

HOORAY-It's Ramona's vow renewal girly faux bachelorette trip to the Virgin Islands!

Jill and LuAnn do not attend, I can't remember why ... but I DID hear this -- the trip happened around Thanksgiving time and Jill was on trip of her own then, sans husband and daughter -- me thinks, she was getting some plastic surgery and took the opportunity with the camera's away to recuperate! just sayin ...

I don't fully now how to comment because I'm not exactly sure what Kelly's deal was, but she took every opportunity to jump on Bethenny and attack her for no reason at all. I am no fan of Bethenny's, but the way Kelly was treating her was inexcusable, and frankly, made no sense.

Kelly definitely showed her true crazy last week, that is for sure!

Ramona is a hysterical drunk ... please keep drinking your pinot's and please please please keep on dancing!

Alex and Bethenny were cute together when they were rehashing Kelly at lunch ... and I will forever love Sonja! I think she's my new fave ....

oh ladies, tomorrow night it continues and as always, Kelly accuses Bethenny of wanting to kill her ... as always I canNOT wait!

Real Housewives of New Jersey...Bryant Park edition!

IT'S NYC FASHION WEEK and the housewive daughters are ready to get their catwalk on!

Gia:
Gia, Gia, Gia....what can I say about her ... she's 8, the sassiest 8 yr-old I've ever come across. I don't blame her for being the way she is, with a mother like Theresa, but she needs to check herself before her ego gets out of control. And to be completely honest, she's not cute, like at all ... she looks like a little rat -- hopefully she'll grow into her looks .... but right now, not so much. There I said it.
and do we even know what show she walked in??


Christine:
I just love Christine, she's so cute, and extremely well grounded for having to deal with a mother like Danielle! in fact, both of Danielle's daughters are adorable! I think she did such a good job walking in the show (minus the whole barfing thing at the end, how mortifying for her, but she handled it well)

Dina didn't go to the fashion shows because she didn't want to run into Danielle - I call majore shenanigans on that - I've heard whispers that her and her husband are seperated, my guess is that she was dealing with issues relating to that.
Also, notice how Lexi, her daughter is noticeably absent from this season .... her ex-husband no longer wanted her on the show ...

what else what else, Jacqueline had a lovely talk with her son CJ while they painted, and Joe was mean to Gia ... bla bla .. all in all I found the episode to be a little boring ... as have all the episodes in the season so far ...

COME ON LADIES - STEP IT UP! WE ALL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF!

Gossip Girl - Season Finale ....

Wowza!! Who watched the Gossip Girl finale last night!?! Such a good episode! Little Jenny is gone, Serena and Blair are off to France for the Summer, Deroda had her lil baby, Chuck was shot and Georgina is pregs with Dan's baby??? WWWWHAT!

Obviously, I am devastated that Chuck and Blair did not get back together, but what he did was totally inexcusable ... of all people, Jenny Humphrey!? ick.

I also think that we were set up for some form of custody battle between Eleanor Waldorf and Deroda. I hope next season, Eleanor goes off the deep end and tries to steal baby Anastasia.

I am also saying it now: The WB will not kill Chuck Bass - he will be fine.

and lastly - was it just me or was Georgina's baby bump the worst slash most fake tv baby bump you've ever seen?! I can't decide if that was intentional to set up the plotline that she is faking - or if Gossip Girl just skimped on Michelle Trachtenburg's costume. I guess we'll just have to wait until next September to find out!

New Celebrity Crush ...

Here ye, Here ye...I have a new celebrity crush ... as Leonardo Dicaprio will always be my yesterday, today and tomorrow .... I have other celeb crushes that come and go. My list ranges from A list actors, to musicians to reality stars, athletes, to basically any household name. Since I was able to speak I have had major crushes on all these stars, that I legit thought were going to find me and we'd fall madly in love....such a hopeless romantic...while I still think Leo and I are meant to be ... here is my list of loves lost...Vince Vaugn, Jake Gylenhaal, Adam Levine (Maroon 5), Brandon Flowers (The Killers), Matt Leinart (football), Prince William and clearly there is the grunge trio from the 8th grade, Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Kurt Cobain (Posthumously,Nirvana) and Shannon Hoon (Blind Melon). There are several more sprinkled in there that I just can't remember at this time ... but I obviously loved them all and thought at one point they would all love me too!

WELL, here is my latest...Mark Salling who plays "Puck" on Glee. Congrats Mark, you've made the cut of stellar gents who've caught my eye!! So dreamy AND not ashamed to sing and dance on tv!!

Sad news in Hollywood -- Hally Barry has split for her boyfriend of 4 years. Rumor has it he met someone else and thought it best to break up with Halle rather than cheat on her. Men take note THAT's how you do it. If you are going to stray at least have the courtesy to end your current relationship first.

They are apparently working out a custody situation for their daughter and my celebrity baby crush, Nahla. I hear its an amicable split and they will be splitting custody 50/50. It is a sad day when hollywood relationships end, especially ones that made me happy.

Strangers Take Note...

My last blog post got me started thinking about other situations that boggle me ... the main one that comes to mind is that when I am in the back of a car, taxi, sitting at an airport gate waiting to board a flight, anywhere where I am reading something why must a stranger start talking to me. I feel that by reading, I am making it very clear that I do not want to talk to you, now when I answer with only one word then continue reading, that should be your second sign that I don't have any interest in this conversation.

If I don't know you, I do not care about your opinion on the weather, our delayed flight or the current state of our healthcare in the United States (unless, of course it agrees with mine).

I had the pleasure of riding in the back of a taxi en route home from the airport this past Monday. The most pleasant of drivers, asked me how my flight / trip was - I said my standard "wonderful" to both and he discontinued conversation only to ask me once if his erratic driving was messing up my feverish texting/emailing on my blackberry in the backseat. I love him!

Dentist Talk ...

So this morning I found myself at my ritual six month dental appointment - as I am lying in the chair with my mouth filled with cotton in the midst of a teeth cleaning my dentist decides its the appropriate time to ask me not only how I am, but if I'm still single and how school is coming along. Minus the fact that I was TOTALLY impressed by her memory skills, I wondered why now? Why are you asking me these questions when there is no possible way that I can answer you in a way that you'll understand. It always boggles me! I did end up answering her in a muffled voice that I figured she wouldn't get, but lo and behold SHE DID! And she continued to talk to me! So, I continued to answer, it was a little bit awkward at first - then I just came to the realization that having been a dentist for so many years, they just become accustomed to muffled voices and gibberish talk and can decipher just about anything ....

OR that I...

A) was at an appointment at 10:30 in the morning so I'm probably still in school and not working yet...
B) still have no ring on my finger, so very clearly still single ..
and
C) look healthy .. so I must BE healthy ...

la dee da ... just another day ... oh, and no cavities!

Meet New York City's Newest Housewife ...

Last Thursday on the Real Housewives of New York City, we were introduced to a new housewife, Sonja Morgan. Now, naturally I took to google to get the goods on my newest best friend! As far as she was portrayed on the show, I didn't mind her. She "likes the company of men" and she "likes to party" WHAT GIRL DOESN'T!

She also introduced me to my new favorite line...she says this about herself-"Whenever I walk into a party, I am still the straw the stirs the drink" SO FABULOUS! I LOVE HER ALREADY!

Sonja Morgan's ex husband is J.P. Morgan heir John Morgan. He is SIGNIFICANTLY older than her ... like was in his late 60's early 70's when they got married roughly 12 years ago. Apparently they both were looking for something (he a hot young thang to keep o

n his arms, her $$) so it worked out for a few years, but then fell apart. My conclusion is that she cheated on him ... and continues to be the mistress to several married men.

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon ... My New Hero!

So, I heard a few weeks ago that Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, of I can't really pinpoint WHAT movie/tv show she is famous for fame found out that her husband of roughly nine years has been cheating on her! A) is it just me or is there a rampant influx of men cheating on women lately? and B) here is her revenge ... she sent out an email to all of his colleagues (he is an agent with CAA) saying this "Tiger Woods/Jesse James/Mike Nilon. What do they have in common...I found out today that MY husband of almost 9 yrs has been having an affair for 5 yrs with some slut in Chicago. I am devastated!!!! And I have been duped!! Our boys don't deserve this!"



Now, since I officially think that all men (in Hollywood) are dogs, I'm fairly certain that all of his colleagues were probably like ... "yeh...and?" But I love her eye for an eye revenge attitude! and the need to embarrass him as he has her! YOU GO GARCELLE!

Latest Obsession ...

As the weather gets warmer, SJS and I have officially switched from our pre-class extra hot skinny chai to our medium tart yogurts from Robeks. Mine topped with almonds and coconut and hers with mango, raspberries and blueberries.

side note: in typing raspberries, my computer informed me that I spelled it wrong -- I NEVER KNEW there was a 'P' in raspberries! You really do learn something new every day :)

I believe that Pinkberry (Crackberry) started the tart yogurt craze, but we aren't privileged enough to have such a mecca out here in Connecticut.

Tart Yogurt is free in fat and contains less calories then your average frozen yogurt, and clearly waaay better for me than my absolute fave mint chocolate chip milkshake from Carvel - you definitely can't have THAT everyday.

If you haven't tried tart yogurt, give it a try!! SO SO YUMMY!

Dancing with the Stars ... the THIRD vote off!!

Ok, so now I'm thinking that there has to be some sort of producer intervention. Yes, Kate danced better than she has before, but she is still THE WORST DANCER ON THE SHOW, EVER! In ALL 10 seasons I have never seen anyone dance any worse than she has ... I mean that! This raises the question, do we vote on ability or progress?

Anyways, we said goodbye to Aiden Turner from All My Children. I felt no emotion about this at all as I fully had to look up who he was and why he was famous. Kate it should have been you.

Dinner Party ... Gone All Wrong!

So, I decided to have some friends over for dinner last Friday night. I did the same before with a separate group back in January and my meal was, for lack of a better word, DELICIOUS! Rave reviews from my guests :)

This time, I decided to have a different group over, and in an effort to save some calories, I thought making a meal from my Cook Yourself Thin cookbook was the way to go!

Well, not so much. I think it was general lack of ability to follow the recipe mixed a little bit of I can't cook that made my meal not so good. I attempted creamed spinach, I did not realize that when you sautee spinach, it cooks down and basically is waaay less than you think, there was not enough for all my guests! (embarrassing) And everyone else had basically A leaf of spinach on their plate.

I burned the butternut squash fries, so those were a no go ... and the pork was all too bland. Everyone absolutely reached for the salt & pepper at the same time. Luckily there was no shortage of wine :)

Better luck next time, I guess! If they'll allow me to try again!!

Helpful Suggestion ...

This is so great! Yesterday morning, I was about to turn off my TV and walk out the door when I saw that Ramona Singer (NYC Housewife...perhaps one of my favorite NYC housewive) was going to be featured that day, so of COURSE I DVR'd it. Well I am watching the episode now and BONUS, my favorite HUNGRY GIRL Lisa Lillien is on! I have become such a fan of Hungry Girl in the past couple weeks since I discovered her book. Now I have become quite a fan of her website as well! Such great eating tricks and guilt free recipes!

Thanks to the show I just learned that if you eat healthy 80% of the time, you can indulge a little 20% of the time!

oh, and P.S. - Ramona switched lives with a "normal housewife" for a day and vice versa...we've all seen this before .... Rich switch with poor then at the end of the day both say they appreciated the other side, but would like to stay as is, bla bla bla boooring.

Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams ...

I spent a few hours yesterday at the hair salon yesterday having my hair hilited (cat's out of the bag, I am NOT a natural blonde...) and blown out. EVERY time I have my hair blown out, I think how amazing it would be to be able to have this done all the time. Which also inevitably leads to my next thought ... hhmm, if I had had that money tree in my backyard (and only my backyard) what luxuries would I indulge in ... besides EVERYTHING....I keep a limit to just the barest necessities.

1) a Chauffeur ...
2) a personal Chef
3) a maid ... obviously ... I do NOT dust.
4) stylist/hair/make-up guru

I think that's pretty much it ... I don't need a personal assistant. I happen to enjoy running errands and I love love love checking email, as im a little too obsessed with my blackberry. Maybe someone to grocery shop for me .... that for some reason is a total process for me.

There is an addition to this game that MTF and I like to play sometimes, picking just ONE of those luxuries ... I think for me it would be the Chauffeur. Oooor the personal chef...oooor the maid...ooor the stylist/hair/make-up guru .... ho hum .. a girl can dream!

Department Store Fitting Rooms...

Yesterday I spent the afternoon shopping with my mother. She needed help, so I felt it necessary to go with her! She wanted to go to Lord and Taylor, so off we went. As we were both in the fitting room we began to comment back and forth at how awful the mirrors were and how we need to exit the store department store and head straight to the gym ... these comments were all too familiar as I basically had the same conversation with MTF last Friday when her and I went on a little spree :)

Why oh why do department stores have such hideous everything??? I can't pinpoint what the problem is ... the angle of the mirrors? the awful neon lighting?? but it really picks up EVERY single flaw on my booty, thighs, stomach - it's horrible!! If only I was trying on bathing suits .... I don't think i'd ever eat again!

Note to all department stores, fix this NOW! softer lighting...or something! How do they expect us to buy clothes if we feel that it shoes every fatal flaw on us!!!

Dancing with the Stars...Second Vote Off!

O M G! So, I didn't decide to do a live blog this week, but I am watching now and BUZZ got voted off!! How can this be?? I agree with Len Goodman, he may not have been the best dancer, but at the very least America should have fallen in love with him! I certainly did, I didn't vote for him this week, because I thought he was a shoe in! I'm devastated!

And America: Why is Kate still on? She wasn't even in the bottom two?? She is unlikable and can't dance ... Buzz at least had spirit! She is now two weeks closer to winning, unacceptable

So long Buzz! My apologies for not voting for you this week - you walked on the moon, you don't need a Dancing With The Stars trophy, you're cool enough in my book!

Week Three!

I really enjoyed everyone's performances tonight - except for Kate Gosselin, minus the fact that I think she is a vile human being, she can't dance at all! Her routine tonight was a joke, she barely danced, and when she did, she looked like a wooden robot. I also can't stand how she continues to wine about the paparazzi that follows her around all the time, woagh is her, maybe try laying low for a while. If it was an issue after Jon & Kate Plus 8, whhhyyyyyyyyy agree to go on one of the highest rated shows!! You love the limelight and are using the sympathy card for votes - well Kate, I see right through your pathetic cherade! You best be gone at the next vote off.

Nicole and Derek got seeeerved by the judges tonight - I wish they would show the criteria of what they can and can't do - I thought they were amazing, but apparently broke rules ... I'd like to know why!

Tonight I voted for Niecy Nash because she's just so sassy! and Erin Andrews, because I sort of want to be her!

Pet Peeves ...

I have been having a bit of inspiration trouble regarding blog posts lately...it's not exactly as easy as I thought it would be ... but I had some time to think this morning as I was getting my weekly manicure .... that I would do a blog post about pet peeves...

1) unpolished toe nails on a girl ... ladies,feet don't have to be ugly - pretty them up!

2) even worse than unpolished toe nails, CHIPPPED polish on toes or fingers....if it's chipping, RUN, don't walk to your nearest salon to have them re-done or at the very least, remove it altogether...

3) walking into a kitchen and having cupboard doors open ... even slightly ajar totally irks me .... if you open it, CLOSE IT

4) clutter ... piles of things everywhere ... yikes!

5) people who own dogs BUT think their dog is the center of the world. part 1.
I don't mind people who own dogs, but when that dog rules the roost, that's where I find issue. I ALSO can't stand it when a walk into a home and said dog comes directly towards me...and starts sniffing my lady bits .... gross, THEN the owner inevitably says .. isn't so and so soooo cute! no, not at all actually.

5) people who own dogs. part 2
When I walk into someone's home and their dog starts growling/barking at me ... irritating - even worse, is when said dog owner goes, "ooh, just pet him. then he'll settle down" first of all, no I don't want to touch your dog at ALL, let alone when it's about to viciously attack me with those scary canine fangs and drooly mouth!

Human's have canine fangs as well ... and they are the set of teeth that allow us to tear through meat and chew through hard things ... I do not want to be anywhere near your dog when those flesh rippers are showing!

I think that's it for now ... I'll keep the list going as more come to me ...

First of all Bethenny, Perez is NOT a parasite, but alas, she is upset because there is gossip in the papers about her friendship with Jill ... are they frenemies?

Kelly needs to lay off the tanning ... it looks really fake! hahahaha Kelly needs to brush on her litarate - her OWN words - she fully claims to have been a literature major and Trinity College! idiot, but at least it got her a date ... moving on ..

Hello LuAnn and Victoria ... oh LuAnn -- she needs her Pied-a-terre...of course you do!
I have to say, all craziness aside, I think LuAnn is a good mother, she means very well, and I think a lot of her weirdness from last season and now this one is the fact that she really is going thru some turmoil. I think she is taking a lot of her pent up sadness/anger over being cheated on and losing her husband out on the other ladies. That all being said, it's not reason to be a total b*tch to anyone and everyone and to bully people, but I can see where it's coming from.

Oh jeez, Jill! get over yourself!! "I felt a sense of pride, SHE'S with ME!" ugh.

Random Thoughts...

I fell into a bit of a dilemma tonight -- Dancing With the Stars, American Idol and 90210(2.0) were all on at 8 pm tonight. My DVR was set for 90210 and American Idol, but I realized that I couldn't watch a third program if I was already recording two. What does Cablevision expect me to do? What if I want to watch a third program? In thinking this extremely important through, I realized that I could have watched DWTS in my bedroom and continued with recording Idol ... or I could get a second DVR for my other tv, but that seems a bit excessive, I watch a lot of TV, but I've never really had this issue before.

Either I'm done with idol for the season, or Fox pays my cable bill for the second DVR, I am now thinking about getting ...

I was reading last months Glamour magazine and a fun article stood out - 10 Ways to Fix a Bad Day Fast ... this mostly applies to girls, I apologize to my male readers, I will be sure to follow up with something male oriented...

1) Put on your highest heels-or take those suckers off! (yeh, im more on the take them off side of this one)

2) Go into a closet. Shut door. Scream. Feel a little silly for screaming in a closet, carry on!

3) Just give up and put your hair in a ponytail

4) Throw caution to the wind and actually smile at a stranger. (I bet it not only makes their day, but yours too!)

So, It's official Bethenny Frankel is finally married! I feel like she has been waiting for this moment for the past 39 years of her life. Her and her former fiancee tied the knot yesterday at New York City's Four Seasons Hotel and this morning she tweets, "I'm a real housewife!" Obviously, cameras were on hand to capture every moment of this skinny girl's nuptials for her upcoming special Bethenny's Getting Married. Once a famewh*re, always a famewh*re.

Their first child is due in June.

Blindsided ...

I was talking with a friend the other day and, clearly about celeb gossip and obviously the topic of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James came up ... she came up with an interesting theory that perhaps Sandy was aware of the cheating and that maybe they waited to break the story until AFTER the Academy Awards. I thought that was an interesting theory ... I don't think there is any way that Sandy couldn't have known something was up.

I pretty much think that when you're in a relationship and someone is sneaking around, you know it...you can either choose to ignore it or refuse to believe it, but I think deep down someone always knows when something isn't right.

Was Sandy completely blindsided or do you think she knew something wasn't right?

Helpful Suggestion...

When I go to the gym, I enjoy listening to music on my ipod, but I also need the TV in front of me to be on because I enjoy the visual. During the week days I find myself watching Regis and Kelly and if I am there a little bit later, then Rachel Ray and maybe The View (GO ABC!)if it's a really slow morning. This morning as I was walking down, I was wondering what I would to watch ... going through the channels on the mini tv in front of me, I landed on Bravo network and lo and behold America's Next Top Model was on....not just any ANTM cycle, but cycle 4, one of the better ones in my opinion. It was the season that Naima won, but featured such stellar model wannabes such as 'don't worry I've taken anger management classes' Tiffany, Lluvy, Rebecca (who fell flat over in the middle of judging, and the best of the best, 'Scabies' Michelle!! BONUS BONUS BONUS!

and not for nothing, ANTM could quite possibly be THE best show to have on .. because nothing motivates me more than a skinny girl competition! (Nigel Barker isn't so bad either!)

so next time you are at the gym, consider ANTM as a motivator!

Dancing with the Stars...

So tonight is the first vote off of Dancing with the Stars! I sort of cant wait for it...this is going to be a great season! so many fabulous "stars".

Granted it was week one, so nobody stood out as being totally stellar yet, but as they say this show is about progress and not raw talent. I never understand this concept, how is it that they can expect an 80 year old man (Buzz Aldrin) and a former pussycat doll (Nicole Sherzinger) to compete in the same dancing competition ... or how they'll have former boy-banders competing when dancing is their middle name!

Anyways: I'm thoroughly excited for the vote off tonight -- and I promised I wouldn't get political, BUT on Monday night I voted for Buzz Aldrin.....twice!

Perez just informed me that The Hills is being canceled, there will be one more season then its DUNZO! I can't say im surprised, the show went completely down hill once Lauren Conrad left .... so much so, that I coulnd't even really watch it...what o what will Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado do now?? I hate to say this but I'll sort of miss these reality show winners!

I make no mention of Speidi ... I have no time to waste on them .... unless it's to watch that this gem of a video ... American Idol...

So, I have to fully admit that I haven't really been watching American Idol this season...yet...I enjoy the silly auditions .... but once they get to hollywood, the weeding down from however many to 12, I tend to not watch ... then I start tuning it at the top 12.

For the past few seasons of Idol, I've been meeting up with my best guy friends, MH, BP, & RDL on Tuesday and Wednesday nights to tune in, discuss and vote on our fave future American Idols! If one of us was unable to make it, we'd obviosly email our thoughts in a group email the following morning. We take our Idol VERY seriosly ... for the finale's we'd bbq and enjoy finding out our latest star over America's favorite meal .. burgers and dogs!!

Anyways, BP went off to grad school, MH got married and RDL moved to NYC, so waching idol alone doesn't offer up the same enthusiasm as it would if I were with the rest of the gang....I offered up the idea of all of us sitting watching on skype ... but that idea was quickly shot down ... so to say my heart really isnt into the competition this season is accurate.

I'm also not quite sure how I feel about Ellen Degeneris as a judge ... LOVE LOVE LOVE Ellen as a comedian and talk show host, but as an idol judge? not so sure...what does she know about music ... yes, she likes to dance...but does she know the ins and outs of what makes a good singer?? I guess I think they should have picked someone with a little more industry experience.

THIS ALL BEING SAID -- I tuned in for the first two singers on Tuesday night, Lee Dewayze, who I was very impressed by! I liked him!! but good lord, Paige Miles? What was that? how did she ever make it that far ... needlees to say I hear she was voted off last night....now, I didn't see any of the other singers, but if there was anyone worse than that I would imagine Simon would just quit right then and there...

America, you got this one right, see ya Paige....

has anyone been watching this season of the Real World in D.C.? I haven't gotten too into it at all, but caught the episode where one of the castmates comes home from the club with a girl .... he calls his girlfriend, breaks up with her over the phone, then proceeds to get it on with the girl he brought home! I mean, I guess that's the way to do it ... but still ... not ok.

What is up with Hollywood marriages?? Why can't they last? I don't buy that whole ... well we're busy so we're away from each other for a while .. bla bla .. ok maybe that's a factor for growing apart ... which I can accept ... but if you're getting married, and you take those vows .... then stop cavorting/canoodling/sleeping with other people! Unless your Mo'nique and her husband .. rumor has it they have an open marriage (but don't even get me started on THAT)

Sandy & Jesse James ... yikes ... what happened there? I really really liked them! and Sandy is totally a friend in my head, she seems so real and funny and talented....I really loved how she was married to somewhat of a badass! Well, bad ASS indeed .... cheating with that women? I'm dying to know what she has that Sandy doesn't ... besides a sever and offensive amount of tattoos .... and not for nothing, it's also been reported that she is a white supremecist (thank you Perez) and now it's coming out that Jesse may be one too?? Poor Sandra Bullock ... I hope she is comforted everyday by her shiny brand new Oscar ...

Kim Kardashian & Reggie Bush ... I actually liked them together, but after hearing reports that she was trying to outshine him at the Superbowl .... see ya Kim. Her and Jill are total mean girls ... and yes, Mario's comment of "countess, countless" while albeit TOTALLY hilarious, was immature and rude....but, like, get over it ... he was merely making a factual statement over the fact that she is now less one count in her life.

Side comment: I LOVE how Mario's justification for his comment was that he didn't say it TO her, hhaha, dude, your 50 yrs old ... act like it.

anyways my point ...

I feel bad for her ... she's in the midst of a divorce, that's awful/sad ... but that's no excuse to be bully-ish! we ALL know my thoughts on Bethenny ... but when her and LuAnn were meeting for drinks and LuAnn started off by asking who was paying?? what is that ... i dont understand that concept ... I will fully agree with Bethenny .... so EVERY time I suggest going for drinks, dinner, bowling, surfing, skydiving, on a vacation to the maldives (somedaaaaay) that I am paying for this? makes no sense...sorry LuAnn ... Team Bethenny for that argument.

ALSO, how was Bravo able to gloss over Ramona's comment regarding LuAnn's, ahem, sluttiness while she was married .... we need to explore THAT! I hope LuAnn's loose ways are brought to light this season ....

The Bachelor

My mistake, one of my loyal readers and wonderful friend (Hi, LMD) reminded me that I do in fact watch The Bachelor .... how could I forget! well, here's why ... I was MAJORLY into The Bachelor/Bachelorette in college but sort of just stopped watching. Not for any particular reason why, Im just assuming that something else came along that I started to watch instead ... then I sort of started to hate the concept behind the show ....

I don't really get it...why would any girl (or guy) sign up for that ... I mean its one thing to date a guy whose seeing other people, but when you have to live with them?? it just all seems sort of bogus to me ... this all being said ... if the producors behind the show called me to be on it, I'd be there in a hot minute ... you reading ABC?? call me!

I, however, DID start to tune into this past season around the time of the visits to the girls homes .... and, now with all the contraversy surrounding Vienna and Jake, im sure happy I did!! apparently he cheated on her with his ex gf RIGHT AFTER TAPING ended .... all speculation though, I cannot confirm those rumors, BUT I did spot Vienna in the audience of DWTS this past Monday night ...

Helpful Suggestion ...

So every Tuesday and Wednesday my Friend SJS and I meet at Starbucks for a treat before class (although, now that it's warming up, we'll soon be switching to Robeks) but learned a little secret the other day ... I had NO idea there was a secret drink size that is not on their menu!!

I am not a huge coffee drinker, so I drink it as more of a little treat than a necessity for caffeine. Around the holidays my go-to is a peppermint mocha, so festive :) and jan/feb/march my go-to is a skim chai latte ... but those calories add up!!

The other day I went to Barnes and Noble and stocked up on new cookbooks .. this one I bought called Hungry Girl: Recipes, and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World by Lisa Lillian gave me this tip ....

Now when I go to Starbucks and get my skim chai latte I order it in size "short." It is smaller than the tall ... only 8 oz, but perfect for that mid afternoon sweet fix, minus the blasphemous calories!!

Millionaire Matchmaker...say who?

O M G! so here I am watching the new episode of Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo ... minding my business watching Patti do her thing ... when all of a sudden one of my sorority sisters appears on the screen! It's the scene when Patti is interviewing the potential girls for dates with the guys .... Carol is her name .. and Patti did not like her ...

I wasn't positive it was her, so of course, the next logical step is to head straight to facebook. I messaged Carol and asked her if I just saw her on Millionaire Matchmaker (keep in mind, I have not seen her or talked to her since college) then immediately called my sister to share with her my television sighting! Sarah was a Kappa too and knew Carol well also...

Sarah raised a good question ....
Would you rather be on Millionaire Matchmaker and picked to go on a date with one of the millionaires OR be iinterviewed by Patti and deemed NOT worthy???

Breast Milk .... Cheese?

As I'm watching this weeks episode of 90210 (2.0) I am also catching up on last weeks People Magazine ... I know, I know, a few days late as its usually my weekend read ... but I was too busy basking in the glory of Long Islands wine country to check my mail back home ...

ANYWAY ... there is an article that caught me a little bit off guard...NYC chef Daniel Angerer made cheese out of his fiancee's breast milk. She apparently makes an overabundance and they simply ran out of freezer space for it, so out of sheer curiosity he made some cheese, why not!

Now, I like cheese....a lot...but something seems so wrong with that. Part of me wants to try it, but another part is totally grossed out by it. If I can eat cheese (and lots of it) from animals such as sheep, cow and goat ... why can't I eat cheese from made from a human ...

alas, the article states that according to a NYC Health Dept rep "breast milk is not intended for adults or for wide public consumption"

fair enough .... thoughts?

Bethenny Frankel....

In the past couple days I have found myself being asked about my feelings towards Real Housewife of New York, Bethenny Frankel .... In the past I have always been a fan ... but for some reason this season I find her to be totally, 100%, rude and offensive. I am extremely happy for her success ... this whole skinny girl thing has really taken off, i guess?? But I'm getting the feeling that her "fame" has completely gone to her head.

I can appreciate a no nonsense bitch who makes no excuses for her behavior (hello, Jules from High Society) but Bethenny comes across now as just plain abnoxious ....

At Ramona's labor day bbq ... when that random friend of Ramona's and apparently Jill's was talking to Bethenny and not for nothing was being perfectly pleasant about the situation was merely informing her that Jill felt a little slighted ... cut to Bethennys voice over ... "who are you, why are you talking to me, what are you the caterer?" ... seriosly?? who are YOU....you just so happened to name a drink that people have been drinking forever ... patron with lime ... not rocket science.

I also found her behavoir in this past weeks episode at Jason's birthday party totally abnoxious when she was making fun of Jasons friend for his accent and how he speaks ... I love how her boyfriend called her out on it ... then she retorts with ... "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.." nice save .... or not.

Helpful Suggestion ...

I attended a dinner with some very dear friends a few weeks ago ... it just so happened that all the girls ended up at one of the table and the boys at the other .... the topic of wine came up amongst us ladies ... why shouldn't it!! who doesn't love wine .... at the helpful suggestion of one of my friends the rest of us were clued into this fabulous website...

I have to say I've been LOVING The Marriage Ref - last weeks trio of Cedric the Entertainer, Martha Stewart and Jason Alexander were hilarious! Martha's gangster, and she knows it! The show is highly entertaining...if you haven't seen it, I highly recomend checking out.....Thursday nights at 10 on NBC (I have to DVR, b/c obviously this is when Real Housewives is on ....)

Am I old...?

Watching Gossip Girl that I had recorded from last night .... Serena mentions the movie Dirty Dancing .... Little J has no clue what she is talking about ... I understand she's 16 .. but come on, its a classic!

My sister and I had a similar situation last month ... we were both working her companies sample sale and we were sitting there with her boss's daughter, a senior in high school. This was right around the time that the news broke that famed Growing Pains character, Boner (Richard) Stabone was missing.....so of course, my sister and I were knee deep in discussing the different headlines we had heard surrounding this when her boss's daughter more or less asked what Growing Pains was .... my god! She said that she had HEARD of the show ... but had never really seen it .... if anything the young ones need to check out the birth of Leo Dicaprio's career, the God that was Kirk Cameron or the Thicke that we all know and love, Alan .. (the thicke that THEY know, Robin's, FATHER ...)

And so it begins ...

So I find myself sitting at home watching television and I have so many thoughts regarding what I'm actually watching! I am particularly fond of the Real Housewives .... after each episode it is necessary for me to rehash with my sister, my friends ... basically anyone who will listen .... so I figured I'd take it to a blog...thus My Reality was born ...

This site will be much like a double major in television shows and hollywood gossip with a concentration on the Real Housewives ... and a minor in everything else ... attempting to channel a walk through my brain ... not only will I know what goes on up there, but now you will too ...

I am not sure if this is something that will last a week and eventually lose interest ... or if it's something I will keep up with forever ... but for today, I am excited about it :)
